Celebrating Canadian Culture

Carnaval de Québec is the world’s largest outdoor winter festival. Bonhomme de neige means snowman. The song “Bonhomme Bonhomme” is said to be first heard in 1638! Since then the song has taken on many transformations in lyric and melody. This cumulative folk song is a wonderful piece to teach children French vocabulary of musical instruments and to act out while they sing.

Joyful Kids Music will be highlighting French folk songs during the month of February as we celebrate Carnaval de Québec! Please join us online for our winter session. Registration is ongoing!
