A Great Holiday Read: The Nutcracker

Are you looking for a great holiday themed book for your child? One of my favorites is The Nutcracker with illustrations by Alison Jay (ISBN-10: 9780803732858.)

This book would be well suited for children age 5 and up. Stunning illustrations and descriptive text that is not too long - just long enough to explain the story.

I often read the story while playing the music of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite. In this way, your child is introduced to the many beautiful melodies of the ballet. This morning, I had a wonderful time with my online K-gr 2 music class, gleefully dancing to the Russian Dance.
